 31 May, 2011 >> EBA representative participated in the meeting with the Vice Premier Minister of Ukraine Mr. Serhiy Tihipko devoted to the issues of draft Customs Code of Ukraine.
Mr. Tihipko briefly updated attendees of the meeting on the perspectives of adoption of the new Customs Code. According to him Ukrainian Parliament is to finally approve Customs Code before summer holidays. Please click here to find the latest edition of this draft.  30 May, 2011 >> The EBA took part in meeting of the Public Council under the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine
At the meeting the EBA voiced its proposal as for necessity for elaborating generalisation of practice of the AMCU. In view of this First Deputy Head of the AMCU Mr Yurii Kravchenko who was present at the meeting informed that the AMCU was elaborating the generalisation of issues related to unfair competition and also had plans to elaborate generalisation regarding abuse of the antimonopoly position. It was agreed that the issue will be further discussed in frames of the Public Council activities with participation of the EBA. |
 23-25 May, 2011 >> The EBA Fuel and Energy Committee members travelled on a mission to the European Institutions in Brussels.
During the EBA Mission the EBA participants had a number of meetings with EU officials, such as European Commission (Directorate General for Energy, Directorate General for Trade), European External Action Service, Cabinet of European Commissioner on Energy Gьnther H. Oettinger, European Parliament. Also the EBA mission had meetings with Mission of Ukraine to the European Union and BusinessEurope. This was the first experience of the EBA Committees to organise a mission to Brussels. |
 19 May, 2011 >> The EBA Health Care Committee had a meeting with representatives of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, State Expert Centre and State Service on Medical Drugs.

The participants of the meeting were informed that the Draft Concept on Import Substitution which was the subject of the Press Conference organized by EBA on 16 May 2011 was declared by the Ministry of Health to be withdrawn. It was also stated that the joint Working Group would be formed to include EBA HCC for the further development of a new concept. |
 12 May, 2011 >> EBA Dairy Committee held a meeting with the Head of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service Mr Ivan Bisiuk.
The participants discussed the issues connected with export of dairy goods, issuance of veterinary certificates, import permits, and agreed to have regular meetings to discuss and solve the problems when they arise. |
 12-13 May, 2001 >> EBA representatives took part in the meetings of some EBA Grain & Oilseed Committee members with leadership of the State Tax Service
Head of Service – Vitaliy Zakharchenko and Deputy Head of Service – Oleksiy Lyubchenko, where business representatives and tax authorities discussed ways of their collaboration to fight against "tax holes" and to restructure state debt on VAT refund. |
 6 May, 2011 >> Representatives of the EBA Agrochemical Committee had a meeting with Mr Olexander Tokar, Head of the Main State Inspection for Plant Protection, Mr Mykola Piskovy, Head of Seed Division, Deputy Director of the Seed Markets Department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mr Volodymyr Kalashnikov - Deputy Head of the Main State Inspection for Plant Protection and other representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Main State Inspection for Plant Protection.
The meeting was devoted to the newly adopted amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Plants Protection". The participants discussed drawbacks and inconsistencies of the Law as well as obstacles on the way of its practical implementation and ways of its improvement. |
