Social Events update
| |
EBA decided to revive the tradition of the EBA Movie Nights which was started in 2003 by launching a new project “EBA Cinema”. We hope that this project will provide a great opportunity to our members to discover the world of European movies.
We were delighted to welcome the EBA members on 23 June at the “Kyiv” movie theatre to watch the British drama “Genova” that certainly gave a new living to the tradition.
The melancholy and the beauty of the film and the remarkable performance of Colin Firth, Catherine Keener, Hope Davis and others can impress anybody. However, it’s very controversial. It’s not a light film just for amusement and relaxation, this film makes us think over many important things. |
|
“Genova” is filled with an emotional form of suspense, it’s a retrieval of sense of a human being, with all its up and downs, flaws, tragedies and a great will-power. No wonder that this film won Silver Seashell in San Sebastián International Film Festival and Jury Prize in Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival for best director, Michael Winterbottom.
The audience watched amazing performance and enjoyed a delicious Chips Lay's and a can of Guarana drink from our partners.
We want to thank our partners - Arthouse Traffic, Lay's, and Guarana for supporting this wonderful event. |
